Why Yes, I AM a Stalker

The fam
First of all  yes, my camera is ready to go at all times.  Hi, I'm Ashley & I'm a stalker with my camera.  They say admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.  Well, I don't plan on recovering anytime soon, so all my children and their friends just need to get over it.  ;)  Second, I hope that once I'm dead my children can look back at all the pictures, have a good laugh at my expense, and be so happy I stalked them even when they didn't want me to.

15 National Merit Semifinalist
At today's pep rally the school announced the students who made National Merit Semifinalist.  Hop was one of the 15 from our high school.  Yes, I am very proud of his academic achievements.  He has worked very hard and has had wonderful teachers to guide and inspire him.  It was a very happy moment for us to celebrate with him.

Thank for the wave Will D.

Just in case you don't know about National Merit, 1.5 million are considered.  50,000 are initially chosen as National Merit scholars, then this month they narrow it down to 16,000 across the nation for the National Merit Semis.  These students are in the top 1% in the nation.  Pretty cool if you ask me.  We'll find out in January if Hop makes it to the final 8,000.  There are several moving parts, and I can't remember them all, but I'm just proud of him for getting this far.  Don't get me wrong, I'm selfish, and want him to get finalist.  :)

Rockettes Dance Team

Anyway, during the pep rally I was a total stalker.  I was snapping pictures left and right:  document document document.  I hear the Bryan Adams song, 'Summer of '69' playing in my head.  "Yeah we were killin' time; we were young and restless and needed to unwind; I guess nothing can last forever, forever, no...Those were the best days of my life.".  The only problem is, a lot of them don't realize that these are some great days.  Again, document, document, document.

Elizabeth & Hannah

The Rockettes had me laughing.  They all asked if the picture would make the blog...yes, Anslee, this is your 4th time, but for sure not the last!  :)  Will D. caught me staking & waved.  Thanks Will, you made me smile.  I knew you were talking about me, but it better be nice things.  Of course E wanted her pictures with all her big sisters.  Sweet girls & guys!!!  I love y'all.  You will always have a special place in my heart.

Lauren, Allison, E & Anslee
Congrats Hop on all your hard work.  We love you and are so proud of all your accomplishments.  But more importantly, we are so proud of the man you are becoming.  You are precious to us.  (We love you too Harry, Elizabeth & Hen!  We expect great things from you all, because God has blessed you all with His wonderful gifts.)  :)

Celebrating my stalker Life!

PS~ I know in the picture at the top I look as tall as Hopson, just know that I have my monster heels on that make me 5 inches taller.  :)
