A Year in the Life

Ugh, I really need some sunshine.  It has been so cloudy and dreary this morning.  Does it make you sleepy?  It does me.  I wanted it to be a pretty day.  My sister is here visiting and we were going to go float in the water for a bit.  I know we could go float even if it's cloudy but it's not as much fun. Yes, this is what the diva side of me looks like.  Can you hear my whining?  To take my mind off the weather I think I'll go cook a few things and pray the sun comes out in a few hours.  Oh well... Celebrating Life! ~ashley 

 The entrance to Santuck flea market. It is so big it's on both sides of the road! The flea market in Santuck is just fun.  And it's HUGE.  It is run by the people of the Santuck community. It has to take at least 100 volunteers to pull this thing off.  I should have taken some pictures of the cars lining the road.  For a little town that doesn't even have a stop light, it's rather impressive.  Hundreds of people show up to walk around, look at the different booths, and hope to get a good deal.  The flea market opens at daybreak and closes at 2pm.  When I say it opens at daybreak, I mean daybreak.  The sun will be barely peaking over the horizon, and there will be a pretty big crowd there.  We arrived at 6:15am, and there were already cars lining the road, and we had to park at the far end of one of the lots.  Oh the agony, I had to actually walk.  Just kidding, it wasn't that bad...

 Amy in the back with Harry, Henry, Elizabeth & Hopson This weekend we spent some time with my sister Amy.  My children call her Auntie.  She is my sibling that always, when she walks in a room has immediate command of it and is COA.  (that's center of attention for those of you who don't know.)  She is a little crazy, but we love her for it. My children also call her Auntie Candy.  I think the name is self explanatory.  They like to 'sneak up' when she comes for a visit.  That means that after mom & dad have gone to sleep, they sneak downstairs with Auntie & sneak candy.  :/  I've found candy under Henry's bed after Amy has come over for a visit.  We don't eat candy upstairs...especially in the bedrooms.  Oh well, it's their tradition with her, so we allow it only when she is over for a visit.  Amy & I are 15 months apart, but are as different as night and day.  I'm controlling,...
